Hand Coloured and Hand Made Silk Screen Prints - These are low edition prints, one of fifty perhaps where the black outline has been silkscreen printed by hand, and colour applied in watercolour. It is also signed, numbered and titled by Clint.
Hand Made Silk Screen Prints - Clint has worked from a preconceived original to produce a small series of handmade silk screened prints. They each have their own integrity and as such are not a reproduction. Prints are signed, numbered and titled by hand. The prints are limited to small editions; sometimes no more than twenty five copies are available.
Original Paintings - This means that Clint has drawn and painted the picture in its entirety. They are unique pieces.
Can I have my print personalised?
Yes any print you order can be personalised with a name or message of your choice. Alternatively if you would like to commission a completely new artwork, this can also be done and would make a special present for a special person. This would be a bespoke original painting, and would therefore be reflected in the price.
Can you explain the differences between the various sorts of artwork you sell?
Limited Edition Giclée Prints - The Giclée is a popular form of printing that allows for accurate reproduction of an original artwork. All our prints are light fast, Fine Art quality so the colours will still be as beautifully rich for years to come. They are signed and numbered by Clint.
Do you sell anything else apart from prints?
Yes. As well as prints, we also sell a selection of original artwork and products, which are featured on the shop drop down menu .
Do you sell frames for your prints?
We we do sell some frames online and when we do there will be an option on the store page to select one from a small selection of styles. Alternatively we are pleased to be able to recommend www.frithandcompany.co.uk, who offer a wide variety of frames.
What does Limited Edition mean?
Clint only prints a given number of each piece of artwork in a certain size. This edition size is listed in the information contained on the website when you click to view individual items. Each print is also clearly individually numbered by the artist in pencil on the bottom left or right hand side.
What is a secondary market print?
These are limited edition prints which have sold out and are no longer available through clintonbanbury.com. These prints can only be obtained from a private dealer.
What is the quality of your prints like?
Clinton Banbury prints are of the highest quality and are currently printed on a fine art textured paper, 225g/m² which is a close match to the Royal Watercolour Society paper which Clint normally works on. Each print is mounted in 2000 micron Daler mount board in a natural white colour.
Why does the price differ so much between an original painting and a limited edition print?
The price of Clint’s art reflects the amount of work and time which has to go into producing each item of artwork. A significantly larger amount of work and time goes into producing an original painting than a limited edition print and the prices we charge reflect this.
Can I reproduce or sell your prints on?
Our permission is needed to reproduce any of our images in any format. If you reproduce our images without organising a licensing agreement with us prior to the reproduction taking place, then this constitutes a breach of copyright. However if you have previously bought or been given a Clinton Banbury print which you no longer require and wish to sell it on EBay, then we don’t mind.
I want to stock your prints, how do I go about this?
